Training was provided on macroeconomic medium-term expenditure framework forecasting and program budget
Mr. Girma Tesema, the deputy head of the Finance and Economic Development Bureau, told us that in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, training was provided on the preparation of the medium-term expenditure framework. According to Mr. Girma, the main benefit of the training is that it will be a platform for long-term planning and medium-term planning, which will be a resource for preparing a result-oriented plan for the administration`s annual plans.
Ato Girma said that by paying the ten-year plan every three years, linking the budget with development works, it is a training that can help the people budget in a way that can solve the social and economic problems and work in a scientific manner.
Mr. Girma said that training is being given centered on experts in planning and monitoring, and in the future, the plans and budgets that will be planned in a manner centered on senior leaders can address the development demands of the people and achieve the 10-year plan that we have planned at the administrative level.
Hailemariam Dadi, head of the Planning and Economic Development Commission, said that it is a platform that answers the questions of what kind of programs an institution can implement, what are the expected results of the program, and how much budget is needed to implement these programs.
Ato Hailemariam said that institutions can be evaluated by their performance when implementing the program budget. He said we should see this as an opportunity because our administration at the federal level is effective.
Treasury officials and team his leaders achieve better results and introduced this implementation system as the Dreda model so that the operating system could be changed.
