Hailemariam Desalegn, the former Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia and the Chairman of the Board of the African Green Revolution Coalition( AGRA) stated that leaders should concentrate on icing the sovereignty of food security in Africa and determining the future of citizens.

The African Green Revolution Alliance( AGRA) has appointed a new president for the" African Food Prize", which recognizes individualities and institutions that have opened the door to food security and profitable occasion in Africa.

Former President of Nigeria and former president of the awards commission, Olisegun Obasanjo, has handed over the liabilities to the new" African Food Prize" president, former Tanzanian chairman Jakaya Mirisho Kikwete.

Hailemariam Desalegn, former Prime Minister and president of the board of the African Green Revolution Coalition( AGRA), who attended the program, said that the durability of agrarian transition should be strengthened to insure food security in Africa.

Stating that it's a task that can not be said for hereafter to insure food security and access to nutritional food, which is critical in Africa, he stressed that sweats to insure food security in Africa must be coordinated.

They said that leaders should pay attention to determine the future of citizens by icing the sovereignty of food security in Africa.

Olisegun Obasanjo, former chairman of Nigeria and former president of the award commission, said the award will help contemporize African husbandry and insure food security.

The new president of the" Africa Food Prize", the former President of Tanzania, Jakaya Mirsho, expressed his happiness with the responsibility he was given, and said that he'll work to ameliorate Africa s husbandry and food security.

They also verified that they will work in collaboration with stakeholders to take the African Food Prize to a advanced position.
